Story

On 23rd June 2019, Natasha's family will be joining CRY for the 13th annual CRY Heart of London Bridges Walk. This event offers the opportunity to show support for CRY, remember young people, raise funds and help raise awareness of young sudden cardiac death. This year’s event will be starting and finishing in Southwark Park, near the Band Stand and is approximately 5.5 miles long. The new route allows walkers to start and finish at the same place and provides extra activities and facilities at the end of the walk. The route is also suitable for buggies and wheelchair users as parts of the route can be diverted to avoid stairs. Step free access information will be provided to those who select this option on their registration. A map will also be provided on the day. Once the participants have completed the walk, everyone is welcome to enjoy the afternoon together for a chance to connect and remember. There will be a selection of food stalls on site where you can purchase food for the afternoon, or if you prefer you can bring your own picnic. There will be a variety of performances on the Bandstand along with some speeches throughout the day, including speeches from CRY’s Chief Executive, Dr Steven Cox and CRY Founder Alison Cox MBE. All family and friends are welcome and we would love for you to join us on this day.
